Getting custom cabinets for the first time? You’re going to love them! After all, new cabinets are like a facelift for your kitchen. Plus, they add value to your home.

However, upgrading to custom cabinets isn’t like going to the store and choosing a new piece of decor to bring home and enjoy immediately. A lot of work goes into making custom cabinets. And you’ll enjoy the process much more if you know what to expect. That’s why understanding the cabinet design and installation process is so important. Here’s what happens at each step of the process.

Initial Consultation

The first step is your initial consultation, which can happen in person or through email. We’ll discuss your ideas, and you can share any plans or drawings you have. If we’re in person, we’ll also take measurements of your kitchen.

Next, we’ll come up with a preliminary design together. Once you’re happy with the design, we’ll also give you a quote. And we can make adjustments if necessary to fit your budget.

Plans and Contracts

In the next step, we’ll finalize the design. Then, once you are satisfied with the design, we’ll create a contract. You’ll need to sign the contract and pay your deposit before we progress further.

After those steps have been completed, we’ll give you a copy of your floor plan and the drawings we have made to keep for your records. You’ll be able to refer back to them at any point in the process.

Preparation

Next, we need to prepare for the actual project to begin. We’ll help you choose the hardware, wood species, color of paint or stain, and door design of your cabinets. You’ll also choose the accessories and options you want to include.

At this stage, we also take detailed measurements of your kitchen so we can custom build your cabinets. And we provide you with a cost estimate based on those measurements.

3-D Design Rendering

Once we’ve settled on all the specifications for your cabinet and completed our detailed measurements, it’s time to create a 3-D design. This allows you to see what your custom cabinets will look like in your space.

It’s important to look closely at your 3-D design and ensure you are satisfied with it. This is the model we build your cabinets from. So be sure everything looks exactly the way you want it. If you want to make changes, we’ll revise the design until you are happy.

Building and Inspection

After you have approved your 3-D design image, we begin building your cabinets. Follow our Facebook page for updates as we work. We post images there. You can expect this part of the process to take approximately 4 to 8 weeks. We want everything to be perfect!

Once we finish building your cabinets, we invite you to come to our shop to inspect them. Inspect your cabinets closely to ensure they look the way you expected, and take the opportunity to test out the functionality of your cabinet components. This is the last step before we install your cabinets, so now is the time to let us know if there is anything we need to revise.

Installation

As soon as you complete your inspection and approve your cabinets, we set a date to install them in your home. This step often goes much more quickly than you imagine! That’s because our detailed measurements and building process mean we’ve already designed your cabinets to fit precisely into your space. And that means installation is quickly completed!

The exact amount of time this step takes will depend on the size and scope of your project. If your new cabinets involve working with other vendors, like plumbers or electricians, we’ll also coordinate with them to complete everything in a timely manner. And we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Enjoy Your New Cabinets

Once your cabinets are complete, you’ll take a final walk-through with us to ensure you are satisfied. And that’s it! There’s nothing left to do but enjoy your new cabinets.

woodgrain kitchen cabinets

Time to refresh your kitchen cabinets? We have all the inspiration you need! Here are six kitchen cabinet designs that are hot in 2023.

1. Warm Woods

Warm woods are making a comeback. So if you love the look of woods like cherry, mahogany, and hickory, this is the perfect time to get new cabinets. And you’ll love showing off all that natural woodgrain!

Light, warm colors really open up and brighten your kitchen. So cabinets made from warm wood tones provide instant cheer to the room. And that’s an atmosphere you’re sure to appreciate in the heart of your home.

2. Traditional Elements

Do you love the old-fashioned elegance of traditional cabinets? If so, it’s your time to shine! Cabinets with traditional elements are on trend for 2023. So whether you yearn for the elegance of a Parisian kitchen or Americana is more your style, adding traditional elements to your custom cabinets can make your dreams come true!

Ornate molding, arched designs, and raised panels bring a traditional feel to your kitchen. And with custom cabinets, you can embellish your design as much or as little as you like. Finally, you can design your own unique cabinets and be in style!

3. Flat, Sleek Doors

Simplicity is in style for 2023, and that includes cabinet doors. Sleek, flat doors are really having a moment. So if you love the simple, modern look, this is a great time to upgrade your cabinets.

Furthermore, flat, sleek doors go perfectly with the latest trends of open kitchens that extend into both indoor and outdoor living space. The simple, sleek design allows for uninterrupted visual lines. And that makes your kitchen feel larger and more open.

4. Hidden Storage

Cabinets with hidden storage are one of the hottest design trends in 2023. That’s because no one likes cluttered countertops. So opting for cabinets with plenty of interior storage options makes sense. They keep all your unsightly clutter and unused appliances tucked neatly out of sight.

For instance, add corner cabinets with organizers to store specialty appliances. Or move your garbage and recycling to hidden pull-outs. Alternatively, include lazy Susans to organize your cans and jars. Or opt for built-in spice racks to organize your collection of spices. There are tons of options and accessories available to fit your needs!

5. Simple Hardware

When it comes to hardware, simplicity is once again on trend. That’s why bar pulls are so hot right now. In fact, an overwhelming 72% of homeowners are choosing them. But don’t worry if you’re not a fan of bar pulls. Knobs and cup pulls are still solid choices.

The most important thing to remember is that your hardware should fit with your cabinet design. So if you’re trying to achieve a sleek, minimalistic look, bar pulls are the obvious option. But if you’re opting for a more traditional style, knobs and cup pulls are often better choices.

6. Tried and True

Cabinet trends come and go, but some styles have remained popular. So if you’re not a fan of some of the new trends, you’ll be happy to know that some tried-and-true cabinet styles are still hot in 2023.

For example, shaker style cabinets are still the most frequently chosen design. So if flat panels don’t appeal to you, you can’t go wrong with a nice set of shaker cabinets.

Additionally, white remains the most in-demand color for new cabinets. So if showcasing natural woodgrain isn’t your style, it’s perfectly fine to choose white cabinets. Your kitchen will get a refresh, and you’ll be following 2023’s hottest color trend.

natural woodgrain kitchen cabinets

One of the best things about purchasing custom kitchen cabinets is you get to choose every detail, from the wood color and species to the hardware and accessories. But with so many options available, it’s often hard to decide what’s best. Frequently, one of the most difficult decisions customers face is selecting the wood species they want.

So are some woods better than others for kitchen cabinets? Absolutely. Here’s what you need to know.

Some Woods Are More Durable

Your kitchen is hard on wood. Steam from cooking, moisture from washing dishes, and chemicals from household cleaners all take a toll on your cabinets. Plus, there’s all the wear and tear from opening and closing all those doors and drawers. So you definitely need to choose a wood species that is strong enough to handle a kitchen environment.

Close-grained hardwoods like cherry, hickory, and maple are excellent choices for your kitchen. That’s because they’re not easily warped by the wet environment in your kitchen. And they’re strong enough to hold up to years of use without becoming distressed.

Some Woods Look Better Stained

Another factor you need to take into consideration is whether you want the wood grain in your cabinets to be visible. For example, rustic cabinets typically feature natural wood grain, including knots, worm holes, and other unique characteristics. So if you enjoy the natural wood aesthetic, you need to choose a type of wood that looks good stained.

Pine, cherry, hickory, alder, walnut, and oak all look beautiful stained. So think about the color and characteristics of the wood you would like to have in your kitchen. Then, choose a species to match.

Some Woods Are Better for Painting

On the other hand, if you prefer painted cabinets, you need to choose wood that is smooth. Typically, maple works best for painted cabinets. It’s a durable hardwood that will stand up to use in your kitchen. But the grain of wood is small, so it won’t interfere with a smooth finish.

Modern and contemporary cabinets are typically painted, so maple is a great choice if you prefer these styles. Maple also works well for Shaker cabinets, since they are frequently painted, too.

Some Woods Better Fit Certain Cabinet Styles

Custom wood cabinets are a sizeable investment, so you want to be certain you’ll love the finished product. To that end, it’s important to consider the cabinet style you want when selecting a wood species. Some woods better fit certain cabinet styles.

As we mentioned above, maple is typically featured in modern and contemporary cabinets, but it can also be used in Shaker and rustic/country cabinets, too. In addition to maple, country/rustic cabinets often feature hardwoods like oak, hickory, and pine. Shaker cabinets most often feature woods native to the Northeastern United States, like maple, oak, hickory, and cherry. And traditional cabinets make a formal statement with woods like mahogany, cherry, and walnut.

Some Woods Are Easier On Your Budget

Some species of wood, like pine, tend to be cheaper. And other species, like mahogany, tend to be on the more expensive side. So you may need to take your budget into consideration when choosing a wood species.

However, because we use high-grade materials and construction techniques, we find that the type of finish and style of door you choose have the most impact on the price of your cabinets. So before you discount a particular species of wood, it’s worth getting a quote to see whether it fits in your budget after all.

When it comes to kitchen cabinets, some woods are definitely better than others. But don’t worry, we’re happy to help you choose the right species to fit your vision. Give us a call or contact us online to begin the process.

Thinking of adding rustic cabinets to your kitchen? You’re not alone! Rustic kitchen cabinets are a popular choice. Here’s why so many love the rustic cabinet look.

They’re Beautiful

First and foremost, rustic cabinets are beautiful. They give an instant appeal to your kitchen due to the natural woodgrain. Plus, they’re artfully finished with elements like wormholes and sanded edges. This, combined with hand-rubbed glazes, gives rustic cabinets a striking appearance. So they’re a popular choice for many people. They always enhance your kitchen’s aesthetic. That’s why you really can’t go wrong when choosing the rustic cabinet look for your home. It’s a timeless look that never goes out of style.

They Add a Touch of Nature

It’s no secret that nature gives us a sense of peace. So including natural elements in your home helps you feel more at ease. That’s why so many people love having houseplants, for example. Without a doubt, rustic cabinets help your kitchen feel more natural. That’s because rustic cabinets show off the natural woodgrain and include elements like knots and color variations. So they instantly lend a peaceful, natural effect to your kitchen. Stone, metal, and faux or live plants amplify the effect.

Rustic Cabinets Bring Warmth to Your Home

There’s something about rustic cabinets that brings a feeling of warmth and comfort to your home. It harkens back to times gone by, when homes were built from wood and stone. Rustic cabinets create a welcoming, warm kitchen that feels inviting to both you and your guests. It’s easy to imagine you’re in a cozy cabin in the middle of the woods or a beautiful lodge in the wilderness. Indeed, there’s no better way to bring warmth to your home than by opting for the rustic cabinet look. Brew some coffee and bake some homemade muffins for cozy perfection.

Rustic Cabinets are Durable

Rustic cabinets don’t just look great. They’re durable, too. And that’s important when you make a major investment in your kitchen. You want your new cabinets to last! Thankfully, because rustic cabinets are made from solid wood, they do. Just be sure you purchase your cabinets from a reputable company, like Edgewood Cabinetry, rather than cheaper cabinets covered in veneer. They don’t last as long as cabinets made from furniture-grade hardwood. So choose quality rustic cabinets that hold up well to the heat and moisture in your kitchen.

Your Cabinets Are Unique

Rustic cabinets include natural imperfections in the wood, like bird peck, knots, checks, sapwood, spalting, and end-splits. While these are removed from other styles of cabinets, they give rustic cabinets character. And they make your cabinets unique. Just as no tree is exactly the same, your cabinets aren’t a copy of anyone else’s. They’re unique to your home. And that makes them pretty special. Many people love the rustic cabinet look for exactly this reason. Rustic cabinets are like an original piece of art. There are no other cabinets in the world exactly like yours. That’s incredible.

They’re Customizable

One of the best things about rustic cabinets is the ability to customize them to create exactly the style you want. That is, as long as you’re working with a custom cabinet maker like Edgewood Cabinetry. For instance, some add clear glass or stained glass panels. Others incorporate mesh or tin elements into their cabinets. The sky’s the limit! Whether you want a country kitchen with mesh inserts or a cabin-like aesthetic with maple wood and a stained glass focal point, rustic cabinets are the perfect choice.

Are you interested in installing rustic cabinets in your kitchen? We love turning dreams into reality! At Edgewood Cabinetry, we offer rustic cabinets made from furniture-grade hardwoods, like maple, oak, and hickory, along with a variety of glazes, hardware, and custom elements like mesh and glass. And don’t forget, we also offer a multitude of kitchen cabinet accessories to improve the functionality of your new cabinets, like drawer inserts, storage racks, pull-outs, and pull downs. Contact us to learn more or get started on your new cabinets!

Thinking about getting new kitchen cabinets? You probably have tons of questions. And we have answers! Here are five of the most frequently asked questions about the kitchen cabinet and design installation process.

1. Will I Need a Permit?

The answer to this depends on where you live, but it’s possible. That’s because installing custom kitchen cabinets sometimes requires modifications to your electrical system. Additionally, you may need to modify your plumbing. And you may even want to move a wall. All of these processes require permits.

Don’t be intimidated, though! Permits and inspections serve to protect you from harm. And as a licensed, bonded, and insured contractor, we are happy to help you through the process. You can learn more about which projects typically require permits here. But remember, you should always check with your city before starting any home improvement project to be certain of your local requirements. Here’s additional information on which kitchen projects typically don’t require permits.

2. How Long Will It Take?

When you opt for custom kitchen cabinets, you’re hiring a professional to make and install cabinets for your unique space. The time it takes to complete the project is highly variable and dependent on your exact circumstances. For example, more elaborate designs and unusual sizes take longer to make than stock cabinets do. Everything from the layout of your kitchen to the design you choose will impact the time it takes to complete your remodel.

What you can expect, however, is clear and continuing communication throughout the process. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your results, so we take the time to plan every detail. As a result, you receive well-planned and well-built cabinets that fit perfectly into your home. And doing things right the first time always saves you time in the end.

3. How Does The Design Process Work?

Typically, we begin the design process by working directly with you. After all, they’re your cabinets, and we want to ensure everything is exactly how you want it. So we’ll discuss options with you and help you establish a budget. And we’ll answer any questions you have throughout the process.

Finally, we’ll create exact samples of your cabinet doors for your approval. Then, once you have approved the final design, we’ll move ahead to the construction and installation process.

4. How Do I Know Which Species of Wood to Choose?

Rest assured that we will help you select the best species of wood for your needs. Since we build custom cabinets, we don’t place limits on the type of wood you can choose for your kitchen. So if there’s a species you love, bring it up! We’ll let you know if it will work for your intended purpose.

In general, however, close-grained hardwoods are the best species for your kitchen. That’s because they hold up well to all the environmental factors they will inevitably be exposed to. Cleaners, steam, and water, for example, all take a toll on cabinets. Close-grained hardwoods, like maple, cherry, and hickory, are better able to withstand these exposures than are softer woods.

5. Can I Choose Painted Cabinets to Save Money?

When it comes to custom cabinets, the final price will depend on the options you select, and that includes the finish. Generally speaking, it’s true that painted cabinets are cheaper than those with natural wood finishes. However, it’s important to remember that here at Edgewood Cabinetry, we make all our cabinets from high-grade wood and use specialized construction techniques. As such, it’s not always the case that painted cabinets are cheaper.

For instance, specialty paints and complex door designs are often more expensive than a simple door with a clear lacquer finish. Indeed, the style of door you choose, along with the type of finish, typically has more influence on the overall price than whether you choose paint versus wood. Thankfully, though, it doesn’t hurt to explore your options. We don’t charge for design consultation, so there’s no obstacle to finding a style you love that fits within your budget.

Corner and Base Cabinet Organizers

Are you sick of opening your cabinet to an avalanche of plastic? Or are you tired of your entire cabinet being taken up by awkward piles of lids? If so, corner and base cabinet organizers are your new best friends.

Corner cabinets offer tons of space when they’re properly organized. For instance, a corner cabinet organizer neatly stores all your specialty appliances and the accessories that go with them. And a base cabinet organizer is perfect for storing all those plastic storage containers and lids!

Pull-Outs and Pull-Downs

Obviously, no one wants to display their trash to guests. It’s unsightly! And let’s be honest, the smell isn’t great either. So why ruin the perfect look of your new kitchen with trash cans and recycling bins? Keep it all out of sight with pull-outs and pull-downs.

With this purpose in mind, pull-outs and pull-downs offer you a way to easily store trash and recycling within your cabinets. Just pull down on the handle or slide the bin out, toss your garbage or recycling in, and close the door. Plus, emptying the bins is just as easy! Simply open the cabinet, remove the bin, empty it, and return it to the cabinet. So easy!

Lazy Susans

Imagine being able to open your cabinets and simply spin a lazy Susan to find what you need. No more moving stacks of cans or reaching around boxes. Finally, everything will be neatly organized and within your reach.

Lazy Susans are perfect options for cans, jars, and spices. They’re also wonderful for organizing coffee, tea, and cocoa. Or use a lazy Susan to organize all those cleaning supplies under your sink.

Drawer Inserts

We are firm believers that having a place for everything and everything in its place makes life simpler and better. And drawer inserts are the perfect way to do that.

Cooking utensils, silverware, and small items all too frequently turn into a jumbled mess in kitchen drawers. Fortunately, drawer inserts easily organize the contents of your drawers. And they’re customizable to fit your own unique needs!

Spice Racks

kitchen island and cabinets

Installing new kitchen cabinets is a big decision. After all, it’s a significant investment. So you want to get it right.

But how do you know which style of cabinets is best for your home? Here are four kitchen cabinet design styles to consider for your project.

1. Shaker

The Shaker style cabinets are named after the Shakers, who valued simplicity. As the name suggests, these cabinets are meant to be simple but functional. Hundreds of years later, Shaker cabinets are still popular. What a testament to the strength and beauty of this style!

In fact, you’ve probably seen Shaker cabinets many times before. They are known for their rails and styles design. You’ll also recognize their recessed door panels. If you enjoy minimalist styles with tons of functionality, Shaker cabinets are right for you.

In terms of construction, Shaker cabinets often use durable woods from the Northeastern United States. For example, cherry, oak, maple, and hickory all work well. It follows that many homeowners choose to stain or glaze their cabinets to highlight the natural beauty of the wood. But painting is an option, too. White and gray are popular choices.

2. Modern/Contemporary

Modern and contemporary cabinets are also popular choices. They’re perfect for those who enjoy a minimalist look. That’s because they feature flat panels. There are also minimal or no fixtures. This lack of visible hardware creates a sleek design that many homeowners find relaxing.

Additionally, because all the surfaces in these cabinets are flat, they work well in small spaces. It’s easy to create taller cabinets with this style. And you’ll enjoy using every inch of cabinet space. Plus, the sleek design helps small spaces feel larger.

We recommend using maple wood because modern and contemporary cabinets are typically painted. However, composites are also an option. White, gray, and black are popular color choices.

3. Country/Rustic

Country/Rustic cabinets are one of the most popular cabinet styles here in North Carolina. If you love the country, farmhouse, or cabin look, this is the style for you.

Country/Rustic cabinets put the beauty of natural wood on display through paints, glazes, and stains. That’s why maple, hickory, oak, and pine are popular choices.

Additionally, many homeowners choose to include elements like mesh, tin, and decorative panels to increase the country/rustic charm of these cabinets. They also combine especially well with iron, copper, and granite features in your kitchen.

4. Traditional

Do you love beautiful, ornate cabinets? Then traditional cabinets are the style for you. They incorporate a variety of adornments and embellishments to give a grand appearance. Arches, moldings, and raised panels are popular choices. So are ornate wrought iron or bronze fixtures and glass panels.

Traditional cabinets typically give a formal look to your kitchen. That’s because they typically feature elaborate European designs. Alternatively, combine traditional ornate decor with a more country/rustic appearance. Tuscan and French Country kitchens are perfect examples of this style.

When it comes to wood, cherry, oak, and maple are good choices for traditional cabinets. Some homeowners choose a stain or glaze to bring attention to the natural wood. Others paint the cabinets and give them an antique or distressed look. Whatever you choose, you’re sure to make a statement with traditional cabinets.

Here at Edgewood Cabinetry, we offer all of the above styles of kitchen cabinets. And we’re happy to discuss your vision for your kitchen and help you choose cabinets to match.

As you think about the cabinet style you want, take a moment to consider the type of hardware you like, too. Hardware is like the icing on a cake. It completes the look of your cabinets. Need some inspiration? Check out these hardware styles to see which is best for you.

custom kitchen cabinet design

Purchasing new cabinets is an exciting prospect. But it can also be a confusing one. What is the difference between stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinet services? And how do you know which one to choose?

We have the answers. Here are stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinet services, explained.

Stock Cabinet Services

Stock cabinet services are the most affordable of the three options. But there’s a tradeoff. You won’t have the ability to customize your cabinets or fit them to your space.  And often, stock cabinets sacrifice quality.

You’ll need to be careful if you’re considering purchasing stock cabinets. While stock cabinets conform to standard sizes, there can be a wide variety in materials and craftmanship.

For example, many stock cabinets are constructed from particleboard or plywood. Some of the cheapest stock cabinets even include cardboard in their construction! If you are looking for durable cabinets that will stand the test of time, pay close attention to the materials your cabinets are made from.

Here at Edgewood Cabinetry, we craft our stock cabinets with the same care you can expect from our semi-custom and custom cabinets. They are simply standard size cabinets.

We never cut corners! Our stock cabinets are constructed from all wood. They also feature soft close hardware. Plus, we include a designed layout and professional installation.

Stock cabinets are wonderful if you want an affordable option and don’t need customization. Keep in mind, though, that stock cabinets come in predetermined sizes. So you may experience gaps where the cabinets do not completely fill your walls.

Semi-Custom Cabinet Services

Semi-custom cabinet services combine the affordability of stock cabinets with a few custom elements. For example, you can select different hardware. Or choose custom accessories to gain more function from your cabinets. Lazy Susans, drawer organizers, and pull-outs are excellent choices.

Additionally, you can customize the shade of paint or stain you prefer. We’re even able to color-match your cabinets! Just bring in a sample. We’ll be happy to match the shade.

You may still experience gaps with semi-custom cabinets. But you can choose custom elements to fill them. Add a shelf for your favorite knick-knacks. Include a spice rack. Or just dress your cabinets up with custom trim.

For many people, semi-custom cabinets strike the perfect balance between stock and fully custom cabinets. You’re still limited to stock cabinet sizes. But you can add a few personal touches.  That may be all the customization you need!

Custom Cabinet Services

Custom cabinet services are the most expensive of the three options. But they also offer you unlimited possibilities. So if your space and budget allow it, we can build it!

With custom cabinet services, you control every detail of your cabinets. Choose your favorite wood species. Select the perfect color. And pick out your own unique hardware. Plus, since custom cabinets are built to fit your space, you won’t have to worry about unsightly gaps.

Edgewood Cabinetry offers a full range of custom cabinet options. Include spice racks, drawer organizers, pull-downs, and more. We can even customize your range hood to match your new cabinets! Need a larger cabinet for oversize appliances? We can do that, too!

Furthermore, don’t be afraid to think outside the box! Want a custom kitchen island? No problem. Dreaming of a home bar? We’ll make it a reality.

At Edgewood Cabinetry, we work with you to design exactly the cabinets you want. And we’ll keep you involved at every step of the process. We want to be sure you’re satisfied!

The sky is the limit with custom cabinets! But remember, due to the design and customization process, custom cabinet services take the longest of the three options. However, they are well worth the wait. Your beautiful new cabinets will fit seamlessly into your home and cater to your unique needs.

Whether you opt for stock, semi-custom, or custom cabinet services, we hope you’ll choose Edgewood Cabinetry for your cabinet needs.

office shelving

A well-organized office helps you focus and stay productive. So if you’re still working at your kitchen counter or a simple desk in your home office, it’s time to consider an upgrade. Here are 5 things cabinets can do.

1. Add Storage to Your Desk

Do you have stacks of papers, files, and office supplies all over your desk? Undoubtedly, investing in a custom office desk that includes cabinets can help. Truly, your desk should function as more than a place to set your laptop. First, think of all the things you need to use at your desk. Now, imagine having a desk that includes built-in storage for all of it. Nice, right?

Here at Edgewood Cabinetry, we build custom desks to your specifications, so the sky is the limit on the features you’d like to include.  Need a paper tray to organize your notes, incoming, and outgoing mail? No problem. Want to corral all your small office supplies? Built-in drawers with drawer organizers are perfect. Or maybe you can’t stand clutter. Then, keep your necessary supplies out of sight behind hidden panels. The possibilities are endless.

2. Create Designated Work Areas

You don’t have to fit everything on your desk. Utilizing custom cabinets allows you to create designated work areas within your office. For example, instead of keeping your printer on your desk, create a separate printing station. Add cabinets to hold extra supplies, like reams of paper. Or build custom bookcases to organize your books and display your favorite items.

Creating designated spaces within your office helps it feel bigger and brings necessary flow to the environment. With this in mind, anything you don’t constantly use can be tucked away in its own separate area but continue to be easily accessible when you need it.

3. Improve Style

Let’s face it, while your home office is about working, it’s a lot more pleasant if you enjoy the space. Fortunately, custom office cabinets allow you to bring in your own personal style. So think about the style you like best and replicate that within your office.

Whether you enjoy a sleek, modern design, a more traditional approach, with stately furnishings and plenty of wood grain on display, or anything in between, we have custom cabinet options to suit your taste. Plus, we can match any color stain or paint and add custom moldings and appliques to enhance the style of your room.

4. Hide Your Cables

Technology has brought a lot to our lives, but one of the things we really didn’t ask for? All those cords and cables. Phones, printers, computers, monitors–chances are, your office contains a lot of power cords and cables. So if you’re sick of tripping over them, hitting them with your foot when you’re sitting at your desk, or just seeing them all the time, let custom cabinets ease your troubles.

Thankfully, with hidden cable storage, your cables can be tucked out of sight no matter where in your office you choose to house your electronics. But don’t worry, they’re still easily accessible if you ever need to move your electronics or replace your cables.

5. Increase Your Space

Feeling cramped? Multiply your useful space with custom cabinets. No matter how small your home office is, custom cabinets can help you increase your space. Significantly, with custom cabinets, you’re not limited to the dimensions available from big box stores. As a result, you’ll be able to use of more (or all) of your wall space. If you have limited floor space but plenty of empty walls, custom cabinets are a perfect solution to increase your functional storage.

For instance, add custom-built book cases with book case ladders, fit more into your cabinets with custom organizers, or include built-in chair storage to help free up your space. Alternatively, try rolling storage carts for less frequently used items. When not in use, they can be tucked into a corner or closet. We can even add a custom entertainment center to your office, which is perfect if you spend a lot of time on video calls and conferences.
