The What, When, Where and Why of Corbels and Brackets

Corbels and brackets are, basically, decorative architectural pieces that support or enhance another object. While we are usually all about the importance of adding items that totally renovate a room, or add functionality to a space, in this case we call attention to the importance of small details. Just as jewelry adds pizazz to a basic outfit, embellishing the […]

Lunch or No Lunch

When you purchase a cabinet, you are buying a piece of furniture for your kitchen. If you want to get your furniture at a discount store, yes, you actually may save a little money. IKEA mass-produces kitchen cabinet sets. The only customization is your choice of size, color and some features. The items that you order, […]

The whole story (or, the word according to me)

We asked three different people what the word transitional meant, in terms of room design and style. Like so many things in life, it is all about the interpretation. It is no surprise that we got three different answers. So, we asked our own resident design expert, Pete. Surprise, he also gave us three answers. Transitional design […]

Up and Away, The 411 On Kitchen Range Hoods

Unless you are planning a total remodel, the type of range hood you select is largely determined by your kitchen’s existing layout. For esthetics as well as functionality, size matters. Whichever design you choose, be certain that it is at least as wide as the cooking surface it hangs over. A hood that is vented works […]

What are your 5 favorite kitchen innovations?

Asking someone to list 5 of the best kitchen innovations is akin to asking someone to choose who they would invite to dinner if they could pick anyone.  The answers depend on one’s frame of reference. The mom of several small children would list a crock pot and unbreakable melamine dishes, while a foodie’s favorite things might include a Vitamix […]

Specification

Once we have all the information and you are happy with the design, we can finalize the design, specifications and put together a contract. Once the deposit is placed we will provide you with a floor plan and all elevation drawings for your records and for other contractors for placement of electrical and mechanical’s.

Production

The build starts right after the deposit is received and typically takes 4 to 8 weeks depending upon work load and size of job. During the build we post images and updates to our Facebook page to keep you updated on your build.

Inspection

Prior to install we ask that you visit the shop to inspect the cabinets making sure everything looks as planned and you are satisfied with finish, options and operation of all components. Once this is done we can set an install date.

Installation

Our installations are figured into the design and we build the cabinets in large sections to fit your space which helps by cutting down on installation time. We will be in and out in a timely manner communicating with you and other vendors so the next stages continue to move along smoothly.
