Is there a downside to drawers located at the very bottom of a cabinet?

Sure. It is always going to be the dustiest place in the kitchen. There is no way around it. But dust settles everywhere and life is messy. Just clean it up.

Bottom drawers are often problematic for folks with mobility issues. While they can be “toe activated” (in lieu of a knob or handle) to open, they  remain an issue in accessing items stored within.
